Goodbye Texas.....atleast for a little while!

Well, this last weekend we packed our stuff and headed for new mexico. For those of you that know us, we travel alot for Kyle's job and we had been back in Amarillo since we got married. We got sent to a job in southern new mexico about 80 miles from the Mexico border. I am unsure how long we will be here, but I am looking forward to traveling for a while before we get sent back to Amarillo. As we were driving down it was wierd to see how different it is here from what we are used to living in.

When the time came to leave Amarillo, we had to make the decision to leave our 8 month old puppy behind with Kyle's parents. I hated to leave him but he got bigger than what we could have imagined. He was a rescue dog and when we got him in July he was about 7 pounds and we thought he was a blue heeler/red heeler mix and from july to january he went from 7 pounds to 66 pounds and needless to say the traveling lifestyle isn't for him. I knew that I was attached to him, but didn't know how attached until the final day came and I couldn't help but cry when we left. I know it was the best thing for him,but I hated to leave him.

So as for now, we are down here in the craphole of America, but look forward to the future..I can't wait to see where we might get to go...I hope its close to the coast!! I would love to live there again!!

On the Road again.....

As most of you know we travel for Kyles job. I have been in amarillo since about November 2009 and then Kyle came home around February 2010. We both enjoyed our time home, but the time has come for us to get back on the road again. Kyle left before me and was gone just about 2 & 1/2 weeks and my soon to be sister-in-law, Sheridan and I just left yesterday to meet her husband and Kyle in Seneca, Kansas. They are working on a windfarm that is on the Kansas- Nebraska State line. I know it sounds crazy but we will only be here about a week before it is time for us to take off and go to New Mexico. Although I wouldn't mind staying here longer, it is beautiful here, really really green and lots and lots of trees!! I look forward to going to New Mexico, since it will be a little closer to home.

As for the wedding, everything is just about ready!! It is getting soo close and I am getting more and more excited everyday, if you can believe that!! I can't wait to have all of our family and friends to be there to celebrate such an amazing time in our lives!!! Not that I am counting or anything but we are 84 days away until I become Mrs. Cristin Snell!!!!

First Bloggy

I am all new at this Blogging thing, so bear with me!!

As of right now Kyle and I are living in Amarillo & Clarendon. Mainly in Clarendon while Kyle is helping fix up his dads house on the ole' Snell Compound. Getting to be in Amarillo for a couple of months has been nice and I have definitely enjoyed Kyle being home! At the same time I am ready to get back on the road again and I am very excited to see where we will go next.

While we are here in Amarillo though, I am taking advantage of all of my time here and making sure I get our wedding planned out as much as possible! So far I think I have done a pretty good job. We are still 6 months out and I believe all that is left is the dance floor and deciding on which lights to buy for the outdoors!! Our wedding date is September 18,2010 and I feel like it is taking forever to get here! I can't wait for it to get here because it is going to be the most amazing day of my life!
